Which Pricing Ledger calculator to use
Use the Ring calculator for metal and diamond tables. Use Custom when you want your own cost rows. Use the matrix to compare channels. Open one listing when you already know the product.
Jewelry and the Ring calculator
Add Ring from Product Calculator Presets if this shop does not have it yet. Then pick Ring on a new listing when the cost depends on metal and stones. Set CAD / gram, CAD / Ct, and making on My Product Calculator → Ring. The listing then picks diamond quality (F, G+ VS2+, E+ VS+, or D VS/VVS), centre Ct, side Ct, metal, and grams. Diamond cost is (centre + side) Ct × CAD / Ct. Metal and making use listing grams × CAD / g. No centre diamond prices side Ct only.
That is the right tool for a ring whose price should move when the carat or the metal changes, without retyping every line.
Custom cost rows
Add Custom from Product Calculator Presets, then pick it on a new listing when the product is not a ring built from those tables. Set that shop’s Custom markup on My Product Calculator, then add manufacturing rows yourself. The list-price math after landed cost is the same as Ring. Only the way you build landed cost changes.
The matrix, or one listing
Use the matrix when one product needs more than one price: an Etsy ads price, an Etsy organic price, and a shop price. The landed cost stays shared. Each channel applies its own fee. Use a single listing when you are costing one product and want to edit its lines and read its quote. Listings is the index of those products. The calculator opens on the product itself.
Earrings is not the tool yet
Earrings is in the marketplace as coming soon. There is no earrings formula to add. Price an earring with Ring if the same metal and stone tables really fit, or build it as a Custom listing with your own rows. Do not wait on the earrings page for a number.
